Terms of service
Updated 30 October 2026
These terms are between the operator of this booking system (Sivuu) and the business that uses it, including the people the business gives access to. People who book a time aren't bound by them: their booking is with the business.
1. The service
A booking form for the business's website, booking pages, and a calendar where the team sees and manages bookings. We set it up as part of the website work we do for you. What's included and the price are agreed separately.
2. Accounts
The person who creates the business is its owner. The owner decides who else gets access, and with which role.
Keep your password to yourself, and remove access for people who leave. You're responsible for what's done with your business's accounts.
Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into an account.
3. Your data and your clients' data
The data you and your clients enter is yours. For your clients' personal data, you are the controller and we are the processor. We:
- use it only to run the service for you, following your instructions given through the service or in writing
- keep it confidential, and make sure everyone with access to it is bound to confidentiality
- protect it properly: encrypted connections, access limited by role, and backups
- use only the providers listed in the privacy notice, tell you about any new one in advance, and let you object
- help you answer your clients' requests to see, correct or delete their data
- tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours at most, if we find a breach affecting your data
- give you what you need to show you follow the data protection rules, and allow a reasonable audit
- when the service ends, give you a copy of your data if you ask, then delete it within 30 days
You make sure you have a lawful basis for the data you enter, tell your clients how you use it, and keep sensitive data, such as health information, out of the notes.
4. Fair use
- Use the service only for real bookings for your own business.
- Don't send messages through it that your clients haven't asked for.
- Don't try to reach data that isn't yours, test the service's security without our permission, or load it so that it slows down for others.
If these rules are broken, we can suspend access after telling the owner, or at once if that's needed to protect other users.
5. Bookings are between you and your clients
You set your prices, opening hours and cancellation rules, and you keep to them. We're not a party to the bookings and don't handle payments.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service running all the time, but can't promise it never stops. We do maintenance outside opening hours where we can, and tell you about planned downtime in advance.
7. Liability
We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost bookings or lost income. Our total liability is at most what you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the damage. These limits don't apply to damage caused on purpose or through gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow them.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in the app. Either of us can end the agreement in writing with 30 days' notice. We can end it at once if you seriously break these terms. Your data is then handled as section 3 says.
9. Changes
We email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms takes effect. If you don't accept it, you can end the agreement before then.
10. Law and disputes
Finnish law applies. We'll first try to settle any disagreement by talking it through. If that doesn't work, it goes to a Finnish court.
